Avoid ad serving issues by fixing the DefineSlot and DisableInitialLoad configuration

This post was most recently updated on November 6th, 2021

The googletag.pubads().disableInitialLoad()call is leveraged to disable Google Publisher Tags from sending out ad requests out immediately. This call informs the Google Publisher Tag to wait until the first googletag.pubads().refresh() is executed. The refresh() call is triggered when all requested bids are back, or when the timeout is hit, whichever happens, faster.

Troubleshooting

  1. Review your header bidding header script to make sure it’s correct.
  2. Open your header bidding configuration and upgrade to the latest version.
