Enable Header Bidding bids by changing the targeting key prefix

This post was most recently updated on noviembre 6th, 2021

PubGuru Header Bidding won’t work if any of the required Key-value pairs (KVP) are missing in DFP.

Because of KVPs, every information from Header Bidding is passed to your Ad Server (DFP). KVP is a crucial element in the process that allows the technology to determine how much the bid was, which bidder wins the auction, the ad sizes, etc. It also enables you as a publisher to eventually run a report and conduct some analysis.

It is very important NOT to delete any KVP that are auto-uploaded by the PubGuru technology. In case you accidentally deleted them, please reach out to support@monetizemore.com.

Troubleshooting

Step 1: Log into Google Ad Manager > Inventory > Key-values

Step 2: Type in «m2_» in the search box and click ‘GO’.

Step 3: You should find several KVPs on the list and most importantly, you should at least have the following:

  • m2_bidder
  • m2_config
  • m2_pb
  • m2_size

Step 4: In case you accidentally deleted any of the above KVPs or any other «m2_» KVPs, please reach out to support@monetizemore.com.
